When TNA Wrestling made the decision to cut down on their monthly Sunday pay per views it meant that the company would have to do more to attract wrestling fans on the PPVs they do offer. February saw no shows and instead were given a hot crowd in Britain for their entertainment. On March 10, the company rides into San Antonio, Texas to fill one quarter of the Alamodome to present Lockdown. They may only fill one quarter of a massive stadium but according to TNA President Dixie Carter, it will be the biggest US attended show in TNA history.
When everything is going right for some people, it’s just preparation for everything to go wrong.
On Tuesday, February 19 after a WWE Smackdown taping in Mississippi, Jack Swagger was arrested with driving under the influence, marijuana possession and speeding. He is expected to appear in court on March 12.
Tonight 30 men will compete in the WWE Royal Rumble, an event that has been occurring since 1988 when it was broadcast as a television special on the USA Network. In the beginning it was merely a special event, but it eventually evolved into the way one gets a major title shot for Wrestlemania. It tends to be described as a way to get into “the main event” but that concept shattered when Alberto Del Rio won the Royal Rumble, only to compete in the opening match.

The Internet is going crazy with rumours abound for Wrestlemania.
This is the perfect time for this to happen as well. The Wrestlemania main event is said to be the only thing Vince McMahon long term books. He decides his main event and then works toward it for a year. This is what leads to ignoring the incredible storyline in front of him like Edge vs. Cena to go with the original plan of HHH vs. Cena. It’s fair to assume that after Wrestlemania XXVIII, Vince already had his main event set. Have plans changed or are they still the same?
Minutes away from the Hell in a Cell. Man, remember when Hell in a Cell was a big event? When a guy could growl out, “HELL… IN A CELL!” and it would mean something? It was a cage match for the new generation. Now it’s just the main event of a gimmick pay per view.
